The Introduction of Frame Material

As we know, different kinds of material have different features. For the frames, it can be mainly divided into five catalogues, they are titanium, advanced alloy, flexible material, plate material and other material. The general acknowledge about them as follows:

First, titanium is one kind of pure metal, whose specific weight is four point five and has a good tenacity. Such material is widely applied in the fields of space technology, jewelry, and operation tools because it does not have the features of magnetic performance and skin allergy. Meanwhile titanium is regarded as high-end material in the eyeglasses industry. Lightweight is a major character for titanium frame. Generally, titanium frame are lighter 48%, compared with other metal eyewear. Therefore people will feel very comfortable since titanium frame reduces the burden of people’s nose. High strength makes the frame difficulty to scratch and deform. The third feature of titanium frame is its good anti – corrosion performance, and its stability makes frame difficulty to fade.

Commonly, there are three kinds of titanium frame : pure titanium frame, titanium alloy frame, andβtitanium frame. For pure titanium frame, the pureness of titanium is up to 99%；For titanium alloy frame, its ring or main parts are made of alloy, not all body. Such frame has a very good solidness; Forβtitanium frame, its ring or main parts are made of βtitanium. Such frame has a better elasticity and strength.

Second, advanced alloy is much popular and in common use at present, which is a kind of material that made of two kinds of metal. The catalogues of advanced alloy frame are in great variety, such as copper alloy frame, nickel chromium alloy frame, memory alloy frame, stainless steel frame and so on.  Frame that made of advanced alloy mainly has these characters: anti-corrosion, bright luster, solidness, and durability. Advanced alloy frame offer a much wider choice for people in color, style, design, and quality.

Third, flexible frame has emerged in recent years. It has quickly become popular because of its unique characters. Generally, flexible frame is often cut into two kinds: plastic flexible frame and metal flexible frame. The former have the character of lightweight and is not allergic to people’s skin. This kind of frame is very comfortable to wear. The striking character of flexible frame is that such frame can be arbitrarily wrenched and pulled without deformation, which other kinds of frame can not be comparable to. The metal flexible frame has an excellent elasticity, which can be bent by 180°without deformation. Especially such frame can automatically recover when bent by external force.

Four, plate frame is made through cutting and processing fiber-board acetate. Plate mainly has two forms: common plate and plate added sheet steel. The common characters of plate include lightweight, big hardness and good luster. When combined with sheet steel, plate’s performance of solidness becomes stronger. The character that difficult to deform and fade enables the frame to use a long time. The style is various and beautiful, so plate frame is much easier to match with clothes or jewelry.
