About “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra”

“G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” stepped onto the screen in a large number of loyal fans’ expectation. It is a good popcorn movie, nothing worth mentioning upon the plot, though. What impress the audience are the dazzling scenes, as well as the blazing high-tech props. Now, I’ll show you some representatives:

1. Nano-worms missile
It’s considered the most lethal weapons in the movie. This tiny warhead is capable of corroding a tank out in a moment. No exaggerating, a city can be razed to the ground if you leave it without control. The famous Eiffel Tower collapsed in the film thanks to his strong power.
Anyway, you may never wish a terror weapon came out. Actually, this powerful thing is not less than atomic bombs whereby the development must not be arbitrary in a world calling for the denuclearization.

2. Converted Hummer
A simple military Hummer SUV becomes a powerful tank in the movie, along with the bulldozer function. It is capable of running over the car in front into the side of shovel up other than launching powerful bombs.
It is questionable for so many high-tech missiles packed in the Hummer. However, the dream of building such a tank without considering the quality can be achievable. You may be also being familiar with of James Bond’s car and Batman’s motor in the movie. They are also similar to this converted Hummer. The question is that under what circumstances is the idea of turning a vehicle into a bulldozer useful in reality?

3. High-tech crossbow
It’s a main weapon of the heroine, which is frequently present in the movie. It is very like a crossbow, but do not need to match with the arrow. It will fire a laser beam or a pulse-similar thing to the target after pulling the trigger (Don’t worry about running out of ammunition), of which the power not less than the rocket artillery. I wonder whether it can be realized or not, which mainly depends on the size of the gun.

4. Night crow fighter
It is capable of intercepting a missile by the ultra-fast speed. Meanwhile, it can fire pulse based on voice-activated system. From the shape, we may find that the prototype should be the F22 fighter planes in U.S Army. Electro pulsing bomb has been come forth in reality. However, no fighters can catch up with the missiles yet. Theoretically, I believe that we can see in the near future if the United States Department of Defense is really “interested” in allowing the aircraft catch up missiles.
There are also a number of different sizes of Nano-technology aircrafts. In addition to the powerful pulse bomb, they seem to have very strong ability to avoid attacks.

5. Stealth combat clothing
The clothing makes you invisible via filming of the entire scene behind you which projected back to it. It’s almost invincible when you have a close fighting. Japan had already studied the stealth clothing according to this line a few years ago, but the “invisible” effect is not so amazing, actually. It is difficult to continue to stealth in a non-stop movement. Similarly, it was reported that the U.S. military make the color of the clothes inline with the surroundings based on the principle of light refraction, whereas it can not solve the “invisible” issue of the perspective transformation in movement.

Nor does it have the accelerating function. Nevertheless, we believe to see the effect of the film via continuous enhancement in the future. Glasses are not high-tech weapons, but it presented with a close-up each time in the movie, highlighting the seductive mystery of the baroness. With a tight leather suit, a pair of cool sunglasses, she looks extremely sexy in the film. The lenses suddenly become colorless, transparent indoors then, the same as ordinary glasses.
The photo chromic lenses are not rare in reality. Lenses will change in different occasions according to the ultraviolet light reflection. Some good lenses, such as the well-known Transition, become the sunglasses in the sun, but ordinary clear lenses indoors. The conversion, though not as magical as in the movie, can be realized within a few seconds. The ordinary photo chromic lenses usually cost dozens of dollars, 200 at most.
